The changes for 2026 are modest but noticeable. A new Midnight appearance package is now available on LT trims, adding black wheels and darker exterior trim. RS buyers can now spec a monotone paint scheme rather than being locked into a black roof. Polar White Tricoat replaces Iridescent Pearl Tricoat on the color chart. Chevy also equips every model with a dual-level charging cable for more convenient at-home charging.
The Equinox EV lineup is simple for 2026. The LT opens the range at $36,495, while the RS sits above it at $45,595.
Front-wheel-drive versions use a single electric motor rated at 220 horsepower. Choosing the dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup increases output to 300 horsepower. Both configurations use the same battery pack, but performance and range vary depending on which drivetrain you pick.
Range estimates remain competitive for a compact EV SUV. The four-wheel drive model is EPA-rated at up to 319 miles per charge, while the all-wheel drive version checks in at 307 miles.
Official EPA economy figures are unknown for 2026, but the 2025 Equinox EV returned 109 MPGe combined in four-wheel drive form and up to 103 MPGe combined with all-wheel drive.
Cargo capacity measures 57 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, which is slightly less than the gasoline-powered Equinox but still usable for most buyers. Passenger space remains comparable to the gas model. The cabin design follows what Chevy introduced on the Silverado EV, with a digital dash layout and a 17.7-inch center touchscreen.
Base versions are fairly sparse and don’t include power-adjustable front seats, but stepping up to LT or RS trims unlocks more equipment. Available features include heated and power-adjustable seating, a sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. RS models also offer the bold Adrenaline Red interior theme.
Every Equinox EV includes an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster alongside the 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. Chevy has dropped Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its EVs, so smartphone mirroring isn’t available. Instead, the system runs Google-based software with apps such as Maps and Spotify built in. Uplevel versions include in-dash navigation and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
