For 2026, new appearance options give the Silverado 1500 extra swagger. There are two new paint colors (White Sands, Polar White Tricoat) to replace two outgoing shades (Slate Gray Metallic, Pearl Tricoat). And the previous Realtree Special Edition pack has been replaced by a new, dealer-installed version. It still features Realtree exterior graphics, Dark Essentials trim, and a Black chrome exhaust tip, but it’s more widely available than before. You can now add it to either the Custom or Custom Trail Boss trim models!
While the Internet has been buzzing with rumors of a possible plug-in hybrid powertrain, 2026 isn’t the year of the Silverado PHEV. However, a full Silverado redesign may be on the horizon for 2027, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed till then! Meanwhile, the latest version of this full-size Chevy truck offers the same powerful engine options as last year, generating up to 420 horsepower for your towing and hauling needs.
2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 Powertrain Specs
For 2026, you can choose from nine Silverado trim levels: the Work Truck, Custom, LT, RST, Custom Trail Boss, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, High Country, and ZR2. They run the gamut from basic work truck (hence the name) to luxury pickup (check out the High Country)!
Every Silverado features smartphone-friendly infotainment and helpful driver safety aids (like lane-keeping assistance). Compared to the base WT, the Custom treats you to extra comforts (cloth upholstery, remote engine start). Meanwhile, the LT adds to the Custom lineup with tech upgrades (dual-zone automatic climate control, a bigger 13.4-inch central touchscreen, and heated front seats).
The RST is extra-sporty, both in the literal and figurative sense (with standard fog lights and special exterior styling).
